Despite 16 games of the schedule in the books, the Kentucky season is at the midway point. Coach John Calipari says he's still pushing his players to pay attention to detail.

"There were seven or eight errors again," Calipari said, following his team's win over Tennessee on Tuesday.

As the Cats enter league play, Calipari still is questioning whether his players are buying in. He says, for example, plays are drawn up during timeouts, but some players don't follow instructions.

Calipari said on one particular play against the Vols, he diagrammed what Tennessee would do, but his Wildcats still were unable to stop it.

"It's like I'm coaching his team and my team," Calipari said of the play. "I drew it up. This is what they're going to do and they shot a layup."

Calipari says center Nerlens Noel is playing well.

"We've just got to really start to develop that killer mentality," Noel explained. "They step into this arena, we're not giving them anything. I feel it's coming, but we've still got some work to do."
